Fishing Report 1100 Pound Black Marlin

Fishing Report 1,100 Pound Black Marlin caught   Fishing report  The Port Douglas Marlin Challenge is strictly 'Tag & Release' - No fish are killed or harmed in any way, in fact great care is taken by ensuring a quick tag ( that's why you see boats backing down towards the Marlin ) and a controlled release. Indeed the tagging procedure ( a small stainless steel and inert plastic numbered device ) provides valuable migratory and range information to monitor Marlin populations video video   Marlin fishing Bass fishing  When Marlin Attack Yellowfin Tuna fishing

The Secrets of Trolling Lures

The Secrets of Trolling lures for big game fish. A very good friend of mine and a great teacher, Hawaiian Capt. Mike Rand, once said to me, “Marlin fishing is a simple thing that we make complicated, only to realize just how simple it is.” No truer words have been spoke As an avid fisherman and lure maker, I made it my goal to understand how to be more successful when trolling for billfish, and then use that insight to help make lures that produce the best possible results. I’ve been lucky enough to fish in some of the best lure fisheries in the world and to learn from some of the best lure makers and captains in these places. I combined their experience with my own ideas, gained from my time running boats, working cockpits and designing and making lures. There are many theories regarding lure fishing that get bandied about, some of which just provide food for thought and others that seem to actually make a difference out on the water. However, some would argue that the practice of t

Shark Attacks Bait

Mako Shark Attacks bait while trolling. Check out this great footage of what a shark looks like when he steals your bait. I hate when I'm on a fishing charter not looking fishing for sharks and a shark takes the bait or rips a line even worse. This under water footage gives you great perspective of the sharks power and speed I would not want to go swimming with one of these in the water. Video description This was shot out of Ocean City, MD on the 4th of July on the Pumpin Hard. We were trolling between 6 and 7knots. Fishing Report 500 lb Groupers in Florida

Fishing Report Florida Wrecks Epic fishing report Monster Goliath Gourper fish, Bull Sharks, Cobia, Josh and Dr. Robert Borrego headed offshore to a shallow water wreck on the east coast of Florida. Josh started off playing with a large congregation of monster bull sharks. Several cobia came up with the sharks. Josh hooked one of the cobia and fought it for several minutes. The Cobia was being chased by a bull shark. Josh tightened the drag and palmed the spool, breaking off the Cobia. Shortly after the Goliath groupers showed up. Josh tossed a bait in the water and hooked up to the first Goliath grouper. The fish fought very hard! After a struggle, the 200lb+ Goliath grouper was boat side. The hook was removed and the grouper was quickly released. Josh started playing with the groupers and a monster goliath attacked the bonito on the rope (probably over 500lbs)! Josh and Borrego dropped a huge piece of Amberjack in the water and hooked up to another monster goliath grouper. This fi

Deer Hunting With A 10mm Handgun

Deer Hunting with 10 mm Handgun wow what a shot and a great challenge for any hunter  to shoot a White tail deer with a handgun Salute. Deer Hunting with 10 mm Handgun  If there is one thing that hunters can agree on, it's the challenge of the sport that keeps us coming back for more. When a compound bowhunter loses the challenge and the thrill, oftentimes they might switch to traditional equipment to add a new challenge to the hunt. But that's bowhunting. What if you're a gun hunter? This season didn't start off well for me. One of the main properties that I hunt got leased by other hunters on September 30. It happened the day before Michigan's bow season opener. Feeling downright depressed, I headed to the property to pull my stands. I had some good deer on camera by those treestands and was feeling very optimistic about killing one. There was nothing I could do about it, though. The other pieces of property I have close to home are very small. There
